Rembrandt and Christian Rosencreutz
Friday 23rd February 2018
7.30pm - 9pm
With David Lowe
When exactly the meetings between Rembrandt and Christian Rosencreutz took place is not known. There is no written evidence for it. The artistic evidence indicates that it was a significant moment in the life of Rembrandt and a major turning point in the history of European art, providing the basis for the developments of modern Art at the beginning of the 20th century. This talk will be illustrated.
David Lowe MA is an art historian and has lectured widely in the UK and the USA. He regularly gives talks on Art History at Steiner House and has been hosting and co-hosting study groups at Steiner house for over 30 years.
