Coloured Light and Coloured Darkness
With Jonathan Soper
Thursday 11th October 2018
7.30pm
Jonathan will demonstrate a number of coloured light and shadow experiments, to illustrate the colour theories of Newton, Goethe and others. The nature of light, colour and darkness is important for scientists and artists: and also for ordinary people who live between science and art.
Jonathan Soper studied Art and Physics at college, and taught sculpture, woodcarving and physics at Steiner school for 12 years. Nowadays he is a glass artist making carved stained glass windows, and was responsible for making the Jarna Kulturhus windows, in Sweden.
